Before you land

Indonesia asks every traveler to submit an arrival card within three days before arrival, through the official All Indonesia site linked from evisa.imigrasi.go.id. If your passport needs a visa, the B1 visa on arrival can be bought online there as an e-VOA: it costs Rp500,000 and allows up to 30 days, extendable for another 30. For the visa on arrival, immigration asks to see a passport valid for at least six months and an onward or return ticket.

Bali also charges international tourists a levy of IDR 150,000. Pay it on the provincial government's Love Bali site (lovebali.baliprov.go.id), which emails a QR-code voucher. With those done before you fly, all that is left at the airport is meeting your driver or opening the app.
